I am so stoaked that these suits fit exactly perfect :)  I couldn't believe it.  Like they were "Taylor" made (and Mason).

Now if the girls dresses would of been as easy as these were to get ahold of!

Sarah Palin and the Road to Victory Rally!

For living in podunk New Mexico, who would of thought I would get a chance to see Sarah Palin? Friday night Mark heard on the radio that Sarah was coming to town and we would have a chance to listen to her. On Saturday we found out she was coming Sunday afternoon, and we needed to pick up tickets at the Republican Convention Center here in Roswell. Hubby picked up 3 tickets and there were hundreds of people picking them up too. We knew it was going to be a full house, but couldn't get their any earlier than an hour before it was suppose to start.

We took Kat with us and got in at 2:00 (It said on the ticket it was to start at 2:30). It was at the airport and in a hanger, and the place was packed already! They had bleachers all around the entire hanger, and a bleacher in the middle of the hanger for news and such. People were crowded around every open space, and we felt lucky to be able to see the stand at all. Hank Williams Jr. came out right at 2:30 ( I had no idea he was coming, yes, I don't watch the news) and entertained us for almost an hour with his songs and Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings songs.

After that there was a wait and we decided to back away from the crowd and went to the outer edge. Lucky for us, it was actually right where they taxied the airplane with Sarah and where she came off. 

She came off the plane with Trig in her arms, and was wisked right away with Security up to the stage. We were then too close to the Jet to hear anything, so we had to make our way back into the crowd to hear her. Not the most exciting idea of a ralley, but we were about 75 yards from her.She really knows how to speak directly to those in the audience, a gentleman a little closer was holding a sign that said Ed the Dairyman and she picked him out and talked about how Joe the Plumber and Ed the Dairyman were average Americans who aren't going to survive higher taxes. She also talked about energy reform and drilling for more oil in New Mexico (which is huge here, a refinery is in Artesia).

She spoke with the confidence and allure that I have always liked about her, and she gave straight facts with no apologies. In fact, she said, "It is NOT negative campaigning to bring out and show an opponents voting record. The American people have a right to know the record of those they are voting for.

Another quote that got the crowd cheering:

Senator Obama said he wants to spread the wealth. Well, what that means is he wants to take the money from those of you who work hard to earn it and dole it out however the government sees fit.

Barack Obama calls it spreading the wealth, Joe Biden calls higher taxes patriotic, but Joe the plumber and Ed the Dairy Man, I believe that they think that it sounds more like socialism. (Big Applause) and Friends, now is no time to experiment with socialism.Another favorite of mine:  McCain will cut business taxes, double child tax deductions for families and cut capital gains taxes. And McCain wants her to take the lead on helping families with special needs children.

Kat was getting very tired by this time, and there were somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 people there, so we made our ways to the gate. If I didn't have Katrina I would of tried to see if I could make my way closer, or try and get an autograph. She was 

signing them after her speech even though the secret service was trying to push everyone away, she was still signing and shaking hands.

She is such a down to earth personable woman, I have such respect for her. It's not that she is just "one of us" like she lucked out on some reality TV show, it is that she can RELATE to us. She has been to the Hockey/Soccer/Little League Game. Can you see Hillary out there in one of her pantsuits? I didn't think so! I don't even know if I could picture Michelle Obama out among the "commoners" as elitist the Obama's attitude seems.

Both candidates have the good of the country in mind, but John McCain and Sarah Palin is who is closer to my values and beliefs. I am so grateful I had the chance to listen to Sarah Palin in person, I really felt a bigger part of a whole today.
