It seems everyone is in the slumps. It comes every January, the holiday rush is over, and no one is ready to get back into everyday routines after such a festive time. It's always the month that everyone dreads, because one is supposed to give up all the horrible habits and be better people.
I would love to say I haven't been blogging because I've been so busy, but it's actually a strange stage right now. I'm very busy certain times of the day, but most of the day I'm trying to find something to do. Our life is settling in at our new home, with daily routines easier than I have ever had them. We all (being the kids and I since Mark is still at work) get up at 5:30 AM, get dressed and eat breakfast, and three days a week, Taylor gets in his van for preschool, the kids get on the bus, and I get to go back to a very quiet home from 6:30 until 9 or so when Mark gets home from work. After Mark gets home and to sleep, I wait until 12 when Taylor gets home, we eat lunch and hang out until 3 when the rest get home. From then on it's homework, dinner, and a little TV then it's off to bed. The kids are gone enough it makes me think I should get a job or something, but I realize every school break I would be paying someone else twice what I could make to watch my kids while I go to work. I suppose there is no easy answer here.
Things are starting to speed up a little though. I was called to be the 2nd Counselor in the Primary Presidency. This job is a little intimidating because I was in the ward a whole week before I was called. I know no names, what people's callings are or their personalities. Apparently I get to do all the cub scouts and scout training, I suppose getting me ready for my own boys next year. It will be a fun challenge for me.
I will keep you all updated, but for now, enjoy the break before Valentine's, Easter and the ever busy May with graduation and mother's day!

I know what you mean about free time. I look forward to naptime and bedtime every day, and then when she's finally down, I wonder what to do with myself. So silly!
If you want someone to talk to about Primary, I'm 1st counselor in my ward. I'm sure you'll be great. :)
I am loving the fact that Temberlie can fend for herself for most everything she needs or wants. I am feeling so liberated.I have been doing sewing projects during the school hours and at night, while I wait for Ky to do his school homework.
Good luck with primary. It sounds like a lot of fun. I just enjoy Relief Society and subbing every where in the primary. I think I am the first person everyone calls to fill in for them and I love it.
Being a stay at home Mom, is sometimes like the movie "ground hog day". LOL
